So in the spirit of always trying new things, I am attempting to make a post while on the go. This is in fact being written from the WordPress application for Android. You’ll have to pardon the mini-rant.
So far it isn’t too bad, but there are a few features I wouldn’t mind seeing.
A) Templates. With the desktop version through the website I am actually able to set up post templates for myself or the other bastards to easily post articles to the Digital Feed. With the app I don’t seem able. Or it isn’t obvious as how to do so.
Which would be just as annoying.
If I have to go digging through options and menus, it kind of defeats the purpose of a quick and easy-to-use phone application.
2) Summaries. I know that seems like a small issue, but the summary iss also what gets added to the old posts section. If that is empty, then all it gets is a link with the title. Considering my titles are all relatively obscure puns that don’t fully make sense until you read the article, it makes them difficult to give quick reference material without the summary field.
III) Keyboards.
…yeah.
Formatting with Swype is a pain in the ass. The lack of mouse is no picnic either.
So, there you have it. Could be a lot better, but could be a lot worse too. Guess we’ll see how it looks after I finish posting, neh?
