So I’m still hammering away at the coding necessary to get posting to work the way I want. People who have been paying attention to the site updates may notice the new page “The Forge” in the top right-to-center. You can ignore that like a Grand Galactic Inquisitor. It’s my testing ground for page reworks. Currently I’m trying to get the Content page to update dynamically, and display the proper message when we don’t have anything on the Chopping Block, but that’s being a pain in the ass. In other random yet news, the Season 4 Venture Brothers premier could’ve been stronger. I get that they went for the long payoff with the chopped up order playback a la Pulp Fiction, but it kind of threw the pacing.
Seriously, you’d think that a page would know what to do when there aren’t any posts to display, but no. Instead it has to insert all the line breaks that would be there if the posts were there, but the content itself wasn’t. Doesn’t make [expletive] sense to me, and it’s really starting to piss me off. As it stands, I’ve figured out how to keep certain updates from displaying in The Digital Feed, which sounds pointless, but I assure you it is not. Just… just trust me.
Also, yesterday there was a peacock in my front yard. Yeah, a [expletive] peacock. What the hell!? I sent out a few notices via MMS. Ten points to the person who told me that it was their escaped pet. They settled for a peacock after being unable to secure a Chocobo. Another ten to the person who said there was good eating in one of those.
