Welcome to the Reliquary
Welcome to the Reliquary, a personal resource database for quite a few projects of mine. This particular wiki has one through a serious number of changes over the years, including its original intention and title. Once it was called the Book of Mijabs, an antiquated reference in itself for the information contained here. For a while it was called the Book of Legends, because I thought it sounded cool. To be fair that's also why I went with Reliquary. It especially helps that this is my primary source for digital documentation when it comes to all my fictional works. A good friend of mine was reading through a great deal of the information I was uploading here and noted how it was being handled, and (to my knowledge) coined the term Encyclopedic Fiction. I really, really like that. It fits. I write in chunks, and I tend to write in chunks in order to expand on the information that already exists. The more you read, the more you learn -- and hopefully enjoy. A large portion of the Reliquary is still being edited and uploaded. After some recent changes, and a bit of introspection, I realized I needed to make some serious edits to the information that was posted here. So as with many things about the main site, the Reliquary is under some serious construction. For the history buffs here, one of the most noticable changes is the current lack of The Runick Legends. I haven't given up on it, not in the least. But the fact is that my appreciation for the material (largely due to how old much of it is) meant that I did its documentation a severe disservice and posted much of it without giving it any sort of editorial review. Despite being responsible for the creation of Enciclopedic Fiction, I need to clean it up, and right now that's easiest to do while it's offline. Don't worry, the Legends can't be squelched forever, I just want to make sure it's worthy of the appreciation I have for it before I put it out there to be shared again. For the time being, most of what will be available here is tied to the RSC SRD, which is related directly to The Red Star Chronicles, so feel free to read up. -- Vid |
