Colonel Anastasya "Stasya" Lafitte
Colonel Anastasya Lafitte is the highest ranking official within the HHPP Special Operations Service branch known as the Strakhznakov ( Cтpaxзнaкoв; translated as Dreadmarks ). she oversees all operations, reviews all reports issued by senior staff, and determines which units are dispatched on their missions and when. As with all previous Colonels within the Strakhznakov, her role is judged largely on the ability to protect the interests of the HHPP while also keeping the organization away from the prying eyes of the human public. This is primarily accomplished by hand-picking her operatives with extreme care. Despite maintaining no true public profile, she is revered within the People's Red Army as a brilliant tactician, analyst, and-- though she loathes the need to be --capable bureaucrat. Born in France, she was recruited into the HHPP at an early age like most Strakhznakov operatives, and over the years proved her worth. With a successful record ( albeit permanently sealed ), she rose through the ranks and eventually replaced her own recruiter as the head of the secretive SOS branch. Her position requires her to live at Prem'ye Stansii on Io, one of Jupiter's most prominent moons and the headquarters of the Strakhznakov, but she embraces her French ethnicity and has decorated her office to represent her heritage with a styled fascia and digital screen that displays a view of Paris. Khrushchev is her most trusted confidant, and also the only person she has expressly given permission to call her by the nickname "Stasya".
