Bolt Action

As firearms continue to improve in efficiency, firing mechanization has become standard in most ballistic weapons. There is room for the classics, however. By replacing the barrel, loading chamber, and firing mechanism, even the more advanced rifles can be returned to the reliable classics. Returning a weapon to bolt action improves stability at the cost of expedience. On a natural 1 on an attack roll with a bolt action weapon, you may reroll the attack. Bolt action weapons also lose the Autofire option from the Rate of Fire if previously available, and cannot benefit from any Feat?, Talent, power, or Modification that allows for more than one shot per turn, such as Rapid Fire, Double Attack, or Rapid Cycle Chamber.

Hard Points: 1
Restrictions: Cannot be applied to Autofire Only weapons.
Special: If applied to the Sniper Rifle, remove the -5 Equipment Penalty if attacking without using the Aim Action. Cannot be installed in conjunction with other modifications that change the nature of the weapon, such as the Gauss Actuating Module, or Slug Transducer.
