Chandra Bharadvaj
Chandra Bharadvaj is a charming, intelligent, and deadly leader of the Black Marketeer group known as D Company largely based out of Narayana II and the city of Ivanhoe. Commanding respect over the majority of simple gangsters and thugs that the criminal organization employs in the city, Chandra-- and her employees --focuses mainly on electronic wares; ship parts, spiker equipment, or other technological commodities that are rarely procured through legitimate channels. While she is willing to deal in other avenues, she is largely more willing to pass the trouble on to a counterpart than have to deal with the risk. Because her goods are relatively low risk, she has managed to maintain her business under the radar of the U.N.P.F. thus far. Few women rise to a position of power in D Company, largely due to their antiquated views of organized crime which maintains a level of misogyny by default. Her ability to overcome this diversity has everything to do with her willingness to embrace the style and panache of the upper levels of the organization. Sleek and well fitted suits are her trademark, each one fitted to allow for a quick escape if she needs it. In addition to her sense of style, she has been known to favor pistols for personal protection. Known SkillsEducated, charismatic, and by all reports quite capable in a fire fight, Chandra is a natural leader in the organization. With an encyclopedic knowledge of the UN's policies, and much of the equipment that moves through her inventory, she is also a capable intel broker within the system. AssignmentsD Company is a minor faction in the Local Spur, occupying territory only in major cities on Narayana II and maintaining a few shipping lines to other planets. Each main location of operations within the organization likely has several City Bosses for different avenues of their business, and Chandra Bharadvaj is at that level. |
