Electrobinoculars

The basic tool in distant surveillance, the design has changed little over the ages even as the technology has improved; an series of magnifying lenses built into a rugged handheld enclosure that allows the user to survey terrain, movements, or individuals. Modern technology has integrated simple in-sights displays that report distance, elevation, radiation readings, and cardinal direction. They also come standard with several vision modes including zoom, wide-angle view, and darkvision out to the user's normal range of sight.

In addition to all the various benefits, Electrobinoculars reduce the range penalty on Perception checks from -5 for every 10 squares of distance to -1 for every ten squares instead.
