Holo-State DrivesOne of the first major innovations in storage media, Holo-State Drives were designed with the combination of holographic display and physical media in mind. Once standards had been decided upon, Holo-State Drives became popular among systems operators who fancied a flair of aesthetics in their designs. A typical Holo-State Drive is a cube of high-density, heat resistant clear polymers that stores data with a series of three-dimensional coordinates in the cube, allowing specialized reading systems to extrapolate the data with a visual interface. This makes them very popular among archivists, or people who wish to set up visual relay systems to create air gapping bypasses within their own network, and prevent spikers from being able to track the flow of data without very specialized systems. Holo-State Drives are considered storage devices with a hostile attitude? and Intelligence 10, with a Will Defense of 20. Improving access to a Holo-State Drive requires a specialized computer system. A Use Computer check that fails by 5 or more provides an overflow of data that cannot be deciphered, forcing the system to shut down and lock until the administrator can access it. When purchased new, Holo-State Drives come in packs of 4. Weight: .5kg
Range: 3 meters ( must be within 3 squares of the computer system for data to be properly read )
