Jet PackAn iconic piece of future tech ever since the early 20th century, the term Jet Pack is used to describe the wide range of personal propulsion systems that an individual may wear to allow for short-distance flight. The bulk of the device is worn on the back, with a series of controls wired to the wrists and arms for fine movements. A typical Jet Pack is rated for 180kg, and the activation of a Jet Pack is done with a Swift Action, granting a Fly Speed of 6 squares until the end of the wearer's turn. Standard models have 10 charges per Fuel Core and can be run continuously, allowing it to remain active ( preventing a fall ) on consecutive rounds of use. Basic movements do not require a Pilot check, but attempting to move more than 12 squares ( as with the Run or Charge actions requires a DC20 Pilot check after the movement; failure results in falling prone, deactivating the Jet Pack and preventing further action. Replacement Fuel Cores cost 100Cr. Weight: 30kg
Range: 6 squares
Base Cost: 300Cr
Availability: Licensed
Size: Medium
Special: A Jet Pack is considered as having no weight when active, both for calculating its own carrying capacity, and the encumbrance of the wearer.
