Large FrameworkLarge sized Frameworks are exoskeletal systems designed to hold their pilot and enhance their capabilities by improving carrying weight, size, and durability. Often viewed as oversized armor, they are the smallest size Framework simply for practical reasons. Anything smaller would have no room for a pilot, and would likely need to be given Actuated or Remote control, making it a Tinker instead. By default, Large Frameworks add a +8 Equipment Bonus to the pilot's Strength Attribute, but impose a -1 Size Penalty to Attack Rolls and Reflex Defense. Without specialized materials or defensive systems, Large Frameworks have 60 Structural Hit Points. These are subtracted from prior to any damage dealt to a Framework's pilot unless the attacker explicitly targets the pilot. Frameworks offer Soft Cover to their pilots, but not Concealment without specialized cockpit equipment. Frameworks are also easier to spot than an individual on foot, and have a -5 Equipment Penalty to Stealth checks. Large Frameworks can be used to make a slam attack that deals 1d8 damage plus the increased Strength Modifier. This slam attack has a reach of 2 Squares. Statistics listed below are for a bare Framework with a bipedal movement system, two arms, and a power supply capable of operating any systems that do not create additional power requirements indefinitely.
