ManufacturersEverything in the Red Star Chronicles is made by someone, a medpac, a flight suit, a blaster, even the stun batons. For each piece of equipment, the Manufacturer provides an extra bit of quality, function, and adjustment to the cost. Provided below are a list of the existing Manufacturers that can be applied to various items a character may own, and a glossary of terms relating to the various Manufacturer functionality. Each piece of equipment can only have one manufacturer, and once applied cannot be changed. Available Manufacturers
"__" WeaponsThis listing under the Manufacturer relates explicitly to a Weapon made by this company or group, or in this manner. This may restrict how it can be used, apply a new function to the Weapon, adjust the chance to hit, or the damage it can do. "__" ArmorMuch like weapons, these qualities or adjustments to function relate only to Armor and the benefits or restrictions that are provided when worn properly by a character. "__" EquipmentApplying almost exclusively to items that are used out of combat, the Equipment qualities are applied to general tools, supplies, or other gadgets. CostThis is the necessary adjustment to the Base Price of an item, either increasing or decreasing the cost depending on the Manufacturer. RestrictionsThough everything is in fact made by someone, each Manufacturer does not necessarily make everything. These details specify which types of equipment can have the respective Manufacturer applied to them.
