Power GeneratorPortable power on the frontier is critical to sustaining life; it provides warmth, communication, water purification, and just about anything that a modern forward base might need requires power of some kind. Using a stabilized plasma arc reactor, the more available Power Generator is capable of providing power for anything up to a vehicle or building of Gargantuan size indefinitely. Colossal structures and vehicles could be powered for a single day, and after that it is drained and disabled, and must be repaired with a DC30 Mechanics check and a Fuel Core costing 100Cr. While the arc reactor is stable, if destroyed while active, the plasma within the generator reacts to the sudden loss of compression and containment by igniting in the exposed air or vacuum and explodes. This explosion makes a 1d20+10 Area Attack Roll against the Reflex Defense of all targets within a 4 square radius of the Power Generator. If successful, the target takes 8d6 [Energy] damage, and half damage if the attack misses. Targets with the Evasion Talent take half damage o a successful attack, and no damage if the attack misses. Special: To facilitate being used as a power supply for some weapons or tools, a Power Generator can be modified into a backpack design, or mounted to armor as Integrated Equipment for 2 equipment slots. While carried in this way, no other equipment can be carried on the back without the Ready Harness modification.
