RebreatherUsing a system of filtration, localized breathing apparatuses, and a supply of atmosphere, a Rebreather provides 1 hour of breathable air for the user before the Atmosphere Canister must be replaced, though a Filter remains functional for 24 hours of total use. While in use, the wearer is immune to the initial effects of breathable poisons or toxic atmosphere ( they still suffer any effects they were exposed to before using the system ), but does nothing to assist with other atmospheric hazards, such as a hard vacuum, extreme temperature, corrosive gasses, or radiation. Integrating a Rebreather into armor is a common practice, often when the armor is intended to be used in situations where atmospheric conditions may be less favorable, but full life support would not be required. Additionally, a Rebreather does not require the ability to fully seal the armor. Poor ( overly polluted but not flat-out toxic ) air conditions do not require the use of an Atmosphere Canister, but they do still use the Filter. Rebreather
Weight: 2kg
Base Cost: 200Cr

Size: Small
Special: Replacing the Filter or Atmosphere Canister requires a DC10 Mechanics check and takes a Standard Action to complete.
Below are the additional accessories that are used with the Rebreather. Atmosphere Filter
Weight: .1kg
Base Cost: 25Cr
Availability: --
Size: Diminutive
Special: Once an Atmosphere Filter has been used for 24 hours of breathing, it is no longer functional and needs to be disposed of.
Aquatic Filter
Weight: .1kg
Base Cost: 250Cr
Availability: --
Size: Small
Special: An Aquatic Filter replaces a standard Atmosphere Filter, allowing the use of a Rebreather to provide 2 hours of breathable air while underwater. A Rebreather using an Aquatic Filter in this way does not require an Atmosphere Container. Once an Aquatic Filter has been used for 2 hours of breathing, it is no longer functional and needs to be disposed of.
Atmosphere Canister
Weight: 1kg
Base Cost: 25Cr

Size: Small
Special: An empty Atmosphere Canister can be refilled with the use of a Field Pump, or filling connection that can be found on the life support systems of any ship.
Field Pump
Weight: 5kg
Base Cost: 100Cr
Availability: --
Size: Small
Special: A Field Pump can be used to refill an empty Atmosphere Canister with local atmospheric conditions. It requires an Energy Cell to properly operate. Properly refilling an empty canister requires 10 minutes if powered. If power is unavailable, it requires a DC20 Strength check and a DC10 Endurance check for each minute ( +2 to the check for each minute after the first ). Failure on the Strength check means no progress gained for that minute, and failure on the Endurance check moves you down -1 step on the Condition Track as a persistent condition that can be removed with 1 hour of rest.
