Reserve Laser Pistol

Intended to be small, sleek, and concealable, the palm-sized reserve laser pistol was favored by people seeking personal protection without the loud report of a ballistic firearm. This also made it very popular among thieves and killers looking for a compact and silent way to threaten and harm their victims, and so they were very quickly outlawed. The compact design of these weapons grants a +5 Equipment Bonus on Stealth checks made to conceal the weapon.

Laser weaponry is exceptionally accurate, however it also lacks the stopping power of more conventional firearms. All laser weapons receive a +2 Precision Bonus to attack rolls, but suffer a -2 Power Penalty on damage rolls.

Unlike most laser weapons, the Reserve model requires an energy cell instead of a power pack to operate. After 6 shots, the energy cell must be replaced.
