With so many settlements making a living by harvesting the bounty that the planet has to offer, it has become beneficial for them to converge at specific meeting points to turn over goods to the United Nations for sale and eventual disbursement. Not all meeting places are overseen directly by the U.N.P.F. however, and so locations such as the Mercado de la Vida ( Market place of Life ) have found a place to make trade between the citizens of Vishnu IV happen without governmental oversight.
